During our 2 week hiking trip in the Himalayas we saw some pretty cool animals. From the national bird of Nepal, the Danphe to the Yaks carrying loads. Here is a list.
Jyopkyo: A Yak/Cattle combo that sometimes waved their horns threateningly at you when they pass you. We saw them mostly between Phakding and Dingboche.
Yaks: The friendlier version of the jyopkyo. They still waved their horns, but they were hairier and in my opinion much cuter than the jyopkyo. Everyone seemed to just like them more. We saw them above Dingboche were it was colder.
Mountain Goats/Himalayan Thar: We never saw the goats close up, but we did see them a couple of times. The ones we saw were around Dingboche.
Danphe: This bird is, as I said above, the national bird of Nepal. I call it the peakock of Nepal, as you can see below the Danphe lives up to the nickname I gave it. Our guide Robbie saw it as we were heading into Namche Bazzar.

Himalayan Golden Eagle: We saw this bird once of twice flying around looking for a snack. We never saw it up close.
Pika: On top of Kala Pathar Dad and Grace think that they saw a pika (see below). A pika is a small rodent that lives up in high altitude.
